Mission Statement:
ExiledPoetry was started by =
nevergetfooledagain (Jen) and =
SorrowBurn (Ozz) after realizing that many of the poetry chats around dA tend to be intimidating to writers. There's nothing worse than feeling that you're not talented enough, or smart enough, or "in" with the right people, and just don't fit in. So this is a group for all of those that feel shut out of those other poetry groups, and just want someplace where they can find others who enjoy writing and art in all its forms. No drama, no power plays, no put-downs...that's a promise, from two siblings in karma to anyone who stops by.

Yes, at last--Independence Day breaks are over, and it's time for a contest! We've decided on "Dark Love" as a theme. If it messed up your life, it's a dark love, so get those submissions in! Rules are as follows:
1. Note your poem to us, full text--no submitting it until after the contest!! This will cut down on "friend votes".
2. Obviously, Rule #1 implies it should be a new poem.
3. You have until July 24th to get your submission in--that will give me an opportunity to copy them all into a dev for voting purposes.
4. Voting will start as soon as the dev goes up, and end on August 7th.
And for prizes...
First Prize will win a three month subscription, a fave by EP and a journal feature both in here and in =
nevergetfooledagain's journal.
Second Prize wins a one month sub and an EP journal feature.
Third Prize wins an EP journal feature.
Prizes may be updated later, so keep checking back!

Good luck, and we look forward to seeing your entries!!

I am going forth and inviting Wordsiths to visit and join the Medieval Community. We need those who are interested in th Medieval Times 1000-1500 A.D. to write stories, poetry, and prose.
